Jack Wilson Presidential Scholarship Fund

A planned giving scholarship with more than $2.1 million (in 2011) targeted to help deserving students at the University of Massachusetts.  The core of the funding for this came from Wilson's donation of a $1,775,000 life insurance policy he directed to be paid for out of Wilson's compensation as President that he was due to receive from his contract.  The intent was to be a model for how other University Alumni and friends could fund a life estate to benefit current and future students of the University.
